We had a lot of fun this week traveling to different countries! We enjoyed putting a carrot in our shoes in hopes that Santa would bring us candy and toys in Holland. When we arrived in Mexico we got to experience Maracas! In Italy (our favorite) we learned how to say "Merry Christmas" in Italian and learned about all about La Befana who brings them candy and toys....IF they've been good little boys and girls. Our last stop was Germany and we learned about the Gingerbread Man Story and got to use our imagination when creating a gingerbread man of our own.

I can't believe it is already that time of year again! I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing all the exciting and funny things the Elves on the Shelf have been doing! The students wanted to have one for the classroom so we decided to write a letter to Santa asking him if he could send us one of his! It worked! Our new friend is Jingles, and let me tell you, he has been doing some silly things in the classroom! When we aren't trying to find him, we are working hard at our centers. This week we created Holiday slime, made Christmas trees with the letters in our name, played a math board game, went on a hunt searching for letters in a Christmas game, and pretended to be elves in the wrapping station! ( SHHHHHH they wrapped their own present).
